Having two boys of his own, Optometrist Kirit Patel stresses the importance of regular and early eye examinations for children.

He would prefer to see children before they are five (ideally at 2-3 years of age) so that any eye abnormalities i.e. squint or lazy eye can be diagnosed and treated in a successful manner.

Visual Stress is a condition which can lead to reading difficulties in many children and adults. 5% of the population is adversely affected by Visual Stress, and 20% to a lesser degree.
